Lance Bass and Britney Spears have been friends since waaaay back when N'Sync and Britney toured together -- and he's apparently just as excited as we are for her return to the pop throne.
"I am totally stoked to see Britney come back," he said to MTV. "I think it's going to be one of the biggest comebacks you've ever seen. It's not even a comeback -- she's always been around -- but I think, personally, she's ready to explode again."
Well, we KNOW that Britney is ready to explode again! I knew Lance was always my favorite N'Syncer for a reason -- he's so supportive of his pal Brit! Tell us, do you have a fav member of N'Sync and would you like to see them make a comeback?

We're told the song is an up-tempo track and was produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco. Britney's up tempo tracks are my fave!

Britney Breaks Records With 'Womanizer'
The Internet has been blowing up today with the news that Britney has broken records with her new single "Womanizer" by making the leap from number 96 to number 1 on the Billboard charts! From MTV.com here in the U.S, to BBC over in the U.K, the world is abuzz about Britney's incredible success. This is phenomenal news for Brit since it's her first Billboard chart topper since "Baby One More Time" way back in 1999! And not only that! "Womanizer" is also number 1 on iTunes right now in Canada, France, Spain and Sweden! Phew! Check out what the world is saying about Britney's sensational Billboard success: "Britney Spears' fine-tuned comeback is going according to plan. As of last night (9:14 pm PST), Womanizer has received 1.3 million views on Britney’s official YouTube (despite the flagging censorship bullshit) page. Not far behind is MTV.com’s director’s cut (no flagging involved), with 1,235,380 views since its posting Friday night.
'Circus' Promo Packet Released
Fab news, Britney fans!
Jive Records have released the promo packet for Britney's upcoming album 'Circus' and we're excited to say, the list of upcoming publicity does include a tentatively scheduled early 2009 U.S. tour!
The promo also lists Brit's "Top 10 Sales Markets," with L.A. taking the top spot, "Index Markets," and "Awards Highlights." If all of her awards were included this thing could go on for days!
And if you didn't already know... Britney is currently the world record holder of the very impressive "Most Searched Person on the Internet." Team Britney intends to keep it that way.

X-17 has reached new creative heights and is now covering armpit hair as their exclusive stories... Recreate Britney's Look: VMAs 2001
One of our favorite Britney costumes of all time is her unforgettable 2001 MTV Video Music Awards look. Any girl who can dance around the stage with a snake that big draped around her shoulders and look that composed and gorgeous deserves a medal, for strength and bravery.
So, in honor of Britney's strength and bravery, Team Britney has decided to give you guys some ideas on how to recreate her fabulous VMA look in time for the Halloween festivities... snake and all! Don't worry, it won't bite... it's made from rubber!

What you need to recreate this look:
The Snake: If there's one item you need to pick up to make this outfit a success it's a six-foot-long rubber snake. Easier said than done, you say? Not so. We've tracked down this fabulous reptilian specimen that would look just the part draped over your shoulders, Britney-style.
The Head Mic: No Britney stage costume would be complete without a wireless head-mic, so pick yourself up one of these from your local electronics store or have a look around online.
The Clothes: Team Britney's Traci found this fabulous top that is almost identical to Brit's! Sure, it's white, but you can get some green fabric dye from your local fabric store and turn your white tie top green to match Brit's!
All you need then is a pair of blue hot pants, and a gypsy skirt to recreate Brit's look. Just cut out the front panel of any blue or purple gypsy-style skirt or attach some satin scarves and add a jeweled belt or some stick on gems.
The Rest: Lastly, grab a pair of tan boots and some stick on jewelry, cover yourself in body glitter and you're ready to go. I think I know what I'll be wearing on Halloween now!
